Email 1/7/21 – Reminder to use personal instead of work email for National (and Local) COA Communications (Permission granted by CAPT(Ret) Rychnovsky to post)

Subject: Request from COA to CDC COA members

Dear COA member,

If you’re receiving this email it’s because you have a CDC.gov email address listed in your COA profile. I’m afraid you might be missing some important emails from COA that are sent from our association management system called “Your Management,” or YM for short. We use YM to send important member emails such as the monthly Frontline newsletter, educational events, and other COA correspondence.

I’m writing to ask if you might consider switching your membership profile address to a personal email address since we are getting more and more bounce-backs from YM emails going to CDC.gov addresses.

If it’s easier, reply to me with your personal email address and I’ll gladly change it for you.

Thank you!

Jacqueline Rychnovsky, PhD, RN, CPNP, FAANP Captain, USN (Retired) Executive Director Commissioned Officers Association of the USPHS https://coausphs.org|   EMAIL jrychnovsky@coausphs.org

Summary of Recent Commissioned Corps Policy Updates

The Ohio General Assembly passed a law requiring state occupational licensing agencies, under certain circumstances, to issue temporary licenses or certificates to members of the military (and their spouses) who are licensed in another jurisdiction and are on military duty in Ohio. The Commissioned Corps is included. For additional details, please see the Legislation Text here:https://www.legislature.ohio.gov/legislation/legislation-summary?id=GA133-SB-7
